Sundrowned

Sundrowned is a post-metal band from Western Norway whose music mirrors the harsh yet beautiful landscape they come from. Blending the crushing weight and expansive structures of bands like Rosetta and Cult of Luna with the dreamy textures of shoegaze and artists like Alcest, their sound moves between atmospheric contemplation and overwhelming intensity.

Their second album Higanbana (2025) continues the band’s exploration of the human condition through the lens of classical alchemy. The record unfolds like a seasonal cycle: beginning in desolation before gradually growing more melodic, lush, and life-affirming as it progresses.
