The Real Jobs

Norway’s most evil boyband. The Real Jobs play spirit punk. A gnarly, synth heavy, melodic post-punk. Think beak meets The Breeders. Depeche Mode meets The Prodigy.

Since the release of their debut album Droolers in 2024, the band have built momentum through relentless live activity across Norway and the UK, earning a reputation for cathartic, high tension shows where mental overload becomes physical fun.

In January 2026, they returned with their second album Do-Gooder, a sharper, heavier and even more warped follow up that drew strong praise from outlets including The Indie Grid, Earmilk and Impose, confirming The Real Jobs as one of the most exciting new acts moving through the post punk and alternative underground.

«A sound that’s meticulously put together but always feels like it’s about to fly off the rails. It’s a beautifully ‘wonky’ mix of blown-out electronics, reverb-soaked guitars, and gnarly synths that bend post-punk into a unique, psychedelic-tinged alternative rock beast.»

Do-Gooder, an electrifying, albeit unsettling at times, journey into modern anxieties, expertly packaged in abrasive, psychedelic-tinged post-punk.
